3 days · Gaudí, Gothic & the sea

Barcelona, Spain Itinerary: 3 Perfect Days

Barcelona is compact enough that three days gives you a real feel for the city: one day for Antoni Gaudí's architecture, one for the old centre and one for the beach and a neighbourhood beyond the centre. This plan keeps each day walkable and uses the metro only for the longer hops.

Best time to visit

May, June and September are the best balance of warm weather and manageable crowds. July and August are hot and busy; January and February are mild and quiet but too cool for the beach.

Getting around

The metro reaches Sagrada Família, Park Güell and the airport. The historic centre is best on foot; buy a T-Casual 10-ride ticket if you plan more than four metro trips in a day.
