3 days · Manhattan & Brooklyn

New York City, United States Itinerary: 3 Perfect Days

Three days is enough for a first visit to New York if you keep each day inside one or two neighbourhoods and let the subway do the long hops. This plan groups Midtown, Downtown and Brooklyn so you spend your time in places rather than in transit.

Best time to visit

Late April to early June and September to early November bring mild days and lighter crowds than midsummer. December is festive but the busiest and priciest week of the year is between Christmas and New Year.

Getting around

A 7-day unlimited MetroCard or OMNY tap-and-ride cap covers almost all travel; walking between stops inside a neighbourhood is usually faster than a cab in Midtown traffic.
